Spirometry
Spirometry is a lung function test that can screen for asthma but also monitor the stability of your asthma. It is test done in the office and involves you blowing out fast and hard for 6 seconds. Often time several attempts will be done to obtain an accurate result.
Spirometry is not only helpful in the initial diagnosis of asthma but will also be done routinely to monitor for asthma control.
